In the Summer of 2021, a group of Climate Activists was introduced through mutual connections with another group of Bohm Dialogue practitioners. Bohm Dialogue is an approach to discourse in groups where there may be strong differences and polarization. This is a process that is focused on communicating across boundaries and finding shared meaning and co-creative solutions. With the tens of thousands of Climate Initiatives active throughout the world, our objective is to use the Dialogue process to reach across the silos of the many initiatives in search of aligned action.
The Climate Dialogue Group is committed to collaborative Climate Action results and to model the power of Bohm-inspired Dialogue to a global community.
To Achieve an Environmentally-Sustainable and
Socially-Just Planet through the practice of
Bohm-Inspired Dialogue.
To be a catalyst in bringing together those voices and constituencies, challenged with climate change and social injustice, who wish to be heard and to hear each other, in finding emergent perspectives and solutions through Bohm-inspired Dialogue.
To sow the seeds of this work through the teaching and modeling of Bohm-inspired Dialogue, such that communities take ownership of this practice in developing collaborative leadership in sustainable climate and
social justice initiatives.
The Challenge of rapidly growing Climate Change is upon us and leaving very little time for isolated or uncoordinated efforts. There is a need to shift the trends for ensuring a future for coming generations on this planet. These trends must be mitigated through shared meaning and aligned efforts, and we feel the practice of Dialogue is central to this outcome.
"Dialogue is really aimed at going into the whole thought process and changing the way the thought process occurs collectively. We haven't really paid much attention to thought as a process. We have engaged in thoughts, but we have only paid attention to the content, not to the process." David Bohm

An adaptation of permaculture and bio-intensive gardening, Permagardens are a climate- and water-resilient technology that makes it possible for families to grow large amounts of food all year round, including during the dry season, close to home.
Climate change has added misery to the lives of so many people who depend on subsistence agriculture. Not only is there less rainfall in some places, but rain is concentrated in fewer months, feeding a cycle of increasing floods and droughts. Often, there are no ways to store rainwater, droughts are increasing the ‘long walk to water,’ and agriculture is often failing.
Permagardens are a dynamic and globally proven option for developing abundant food resources for families and communities in response to climate change.
