Welcome to The Climate Dialogue Group

In the Summer of 2021, a group of Climate Activists was introduced through mutual connections with another group of Bohm Dialogue practitioners. Bohm Dialogue is an approach to discourse in groups where there may be strong differences and polarization. This is a process that is focused on communicating across boundaries and finding shared meaning and co-creative solutions. With the tens of thousands of Climate Initiatives active throughout the world, our objective is to use the Dialogue process to reach across the silos of these many initiatives in the search for aligned action.
The Climate Dialogue Group is committed to these collaborative Climate Action results and to model the power of Dialogue to the broader public.
To Achieve an Environmentally-Sustainable and
Socially-Just Planet through the practice of
Bohm-Inspired Dialogue.
To be a catalyst in bringing together those voices and constituencies, challenged with climate change and social injustice, who wish to be heard and to hear each other, in finding emergent perspectives and solutions through Bohm-inspired Dialogue.
To sow the seeds of this work through the teaching and modeling of Bohm-inspired Dialogue, such that communities take ownership of this practice in developing collaborative leadership in sustainable climate and
social justice initiatives.
The Challenge of rapidly growing Climate Change is upon us and leaving very little time for isolated or uncoordinated efforts. There is a need to shift the trends for ensuring a future for coming generations on this planet. These trends must be mitigated through shared meaning and aligned efforts, and we feel the practice of Dialogue is central to this outcome.
"Dialogue is really aimed at going into the whole thought process and changing the way the thought process occurs collectively. We haven't really paid much attention to thought as a process. We have engaged in thoughts, but we have only paid attention to the content, not to the process." David Bohm

The Climate Dialogue Group is sponsoring a series of Dialogues on Climate, focused within significant groups where Voices must be heard and listened to deeply. These will begin with the Equatorial Voices throughout Africa, and Asia where climate and related civil actions are devastating populations. We will follow up by bringing together Indigenous Voices from North America and likely expanding globally, whose wisdom and ancient knowledges are so critical in this present moment. Continuing on we will host the Youth Voices from the generations most directly affected by climate crises, including the northern and southern hemispheres. Stay tuned to this space!!
PLEASE SEE THE ACTIVE MENU IN THE 3 HORIZONTAL LINES IN THE UPPER LEFT OF THE MAIN PAGE

The Climate Cafe provides the opportunity for members, on their own initiation, to gather at any time on a Zoom page, to participate in Dialogue regarding critical issues being faced in their regions or areas of concern.
We can create Chat Rooms for almost every topical area or group interest that has a following. Check out the Chat Rooms already created by opening "View All Channels", and add your own thoughts and questions for response.
Our Library is a repository of books, articles, speeches, and documents of all types. The Library can contain both PDF files as well as hyperlinks to other files.
This is a space where all Library entries can be collated by subject matter for more focused searches.
The Climate Dialogue Group publishes a newsletter each week to all members regarding news-worthy events and updates from members' regions and particular areas of interest. We welcome your important events and exciting "news"...!
